On a yearly basis, Metaxa Private Reserve is created by the Metaxa Master, who combines a choice selection of well-aged expressions of Greek brandy to form his own special blend. Each distillate used has been matured for up to 30 years and are considered the best of their years. They are then carefully blended together, to form a flavour packed brandy like none other.
The result of this process is a potent blend of premium spirits, conjuring up a whole variety of flavour tones such as chocolate, coffee, bitter citrus and fragrant pear. Complex and well rounded, there is a hint of smokiness running throughout and hints of fresh oak that hark back to the maturation process.
Metaxa Private Reserve is considered the cream of the crop and as such, it should be savoured neat to allow its smoothness and intense flavour to be appreciated.
