This so called ‘Alchemists gin’ is a collaborative effort between the well renowned head bartender at Islington bar ‘The Gibson’, Marian Beke, and the second oldest still operating distillery in Belgium, Copperhead. A match made in gin heaven, Copperhead first created a batch of their signature distillate, infused with five botanicals, then passed it on Beke who embellished these base flavours with 13 choice additions. Including a hefty amount of spices, such as allspice, bay, cassia, pepper and fennel, this gin is one to really bring alive the taste buds. The next stage was to add 8-year- old jenever to act as a sweetness in lieu of sugar.
