Chase Seville Orange Gin is a new version of an old classic, orange gin, and perfect for the summer months. It’s made from the classic blend of gin botanicals, including juniper berries, angelica root, coriander seed, lemon peel, orange peel, orris root, angelica seed, liquorice root, and elderflower. And then, of course, the Seville oranges, known for their knobby-textured skin and bitter flavour, which are infused toward the end of the distillation process to capture the raw, edginess of such a unique orange. Chase Seville Orange Gin is gentle and floral on the nose, with perfumed notes of white flowers, buttery biscuits, and a slight hint of orange blossom. On the palate, it’s nice and dry, yet smooth, with juicy notes of sweet oranges, balanced by a very sophisticated bitterness toward the end. A much-loved addition to summer fruit cups, Chase Seville Orange Gin is super versatile, and lends itself well to a variety of cocktails. Of course it’s great in a gin and tonic, as the bitterness of the orange is slightly enhanced by the tonic, but try it in something a bit purer and straightforward, such as a dry martini, where the orange essence can really fly. Another great way to enjoy Chase Seville Orange Gin is in a Negroni, where the bitter citrus notes play off the herbs and botanicals of the Campari, yet get slightly sweetened by the vermouth.
