Born in 1740 by an unlikely mixologist, Admiral Edward Vernon, who asked for a reduction in the alcohol percentage of the British navy's rum. The troops complained and he offered to add lime and sugar into the mix, unknowingly creating Old J Spiced rum. It is now created in the beautiful Trinidad, Barbados, blended with spices and sweet vanilla.
