Bulliet may call Kentucky USA - the traditional home of bourbon - its home, but since its inception in 1987 it has set out to break bourbon traditions. Most notably, it uses a unique high-rye recipe (approximately 28%), which delivers a distinctively bold and lightly spicy flavour. The drink takes inspiration from some 150 years ago and the small-batch techniques of the time.
Founder, Thomas E Bulleit Jr, was such a believer in the whiskey that he revived his great-great-grandfather’s original high-rye whiskey, leaving behind a career in law. Bulleit Bourbon is joined by a Bulleit 10-year-old, as rich and deep as you may imagine, and Bulliet Rye with its honeyed vanilla and spices.
