Bulldog Gin made its debut in 2007. It was founded by Anshuman Vohra who wanted to create the world’s first modern gin. And fans would agree he’s certainly achieved that. Its bold, vivacious flavours make for a welcome take on conventional gins. Its complexity is aided by an unusual mix of flavours not found in other gins, including poppy, and the excitingly-named dragon eye (aka longan).
Floral and citrus fragrances entice gin drinkers to take their first sip, which is underscored by the requisite juniper and delivers a crisp mouthfeel. This gin is particularly adept at mixing with other flavours, so try it in a dirty martini (or The Dirty Dog, as Bulldog calls it), or use the bold Bulldog flavour in something hotter like a spicy gin gimlet.
