Boxer Gin was named in honour of the first Heavyweight Champion of the World – Tom King – who also happened to be something of a gin lover. King fought bare-knuckle, indulging in a gin before every session for luck. At its heart are juniper berries harvested from the slopes of Mount Everest, which are picked at peak ripeness and steam distilled on the mountainside.
This Nepalese ingredient is then blended with fresh bergamot from Southern Italy, before the gin is distilled back in England in an antique copper pot still. As well as the Boxer London Dry Gin, there’s also the Boxer Negroni, a gin-based aperitif.
