Boulard’s creation came about in 1825, when Pierre-Auguste Boulard founded his distillery in the Pays d’Auge. The calvados is double distilled, and in 1942, the Boulard family supported an initiative to create the AOC Calvados Pays d’Auge, promoting both its distillation method and the uniqueness of the region.
The Pays d’Auge delivers a distinct apple flavour to the drink. Boulard Grand Solage Calvados blends different calvados varieties aged between two and five years, to the cellar master’s secret proportions. The Luxury Collection includes the Boulard Auguste X.O. which celebrates the original founder. Oak barrels are used for this delicate balanced drink.
