Bintang
Indonesia’ favourite beer, Bintang, has been around for a while – it was first brewed in Surabaya back in 1929, at a time when the country was under Dutch colonial rule. At the end of World War II in 1945, Indonesia gained independence and 12 years later the government acquired the brewery. A decade later Heineken retook control.
Now, the selection of quality ingredients and the use of international standardised brewing processes has resulted in a high-quality beer. Bintang’s hoppy aroma is complemented by the pale golden lager’s bitter and fresh taste.
