Did you know you probably have Ballantine’s to thank for your Tesco delivery service? Well, way back in 1857, Ballantine’s founder, George Ballentine launched an innovative new service: shop and drop. At the time he offered delivery in a 10-mile radius and it’s a concept that eventually caught on.
This forward-thinking whisky brand was awarded a Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria in 1895 and by 2007 it was the world’s second best selling whisky. Ballantine’s Finest Scotch Whisky, from the core range, has remained true to its original recipe from 1910 and is joined by the iconic Ballantine’s Barrel Smooth, a smooth and distinctively sweet whisky finished in caramelised oak barrels.
