Aviation Gin’s profile has been raised considerably thanks to one particular secret weapon… actor Ryan Reynolds’ co-ownership of the brand! The actor bought his share in the brand in 2018 because he loved it so much, and just two years later it was acquired by Diageo. Aviation Gin uses a precise blend of botanicals (including coriander, French lavender, sarsaparilla, orange peel and juniper) which are infused in a pure, neutral grain spirit for 18 hours.
The resulting macerate is then pumped into a still with pure water, to create the vapours that form the gin distillate. The ‘heart cut’ is then transferred for blending, before it's bottled. The resulting gin is earthy with spicy notes and subtle floral undertones.
