As its name suggests, this is the first in a limited-edition run that showcases the great flavours of this classic whisky house. Designed to be part of a four-part series, this particular bottle showcases the essence of sea salt often found in Bowmore whiskies. With its distillery in close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, the lingering sea spray is as part of the finished spirit as the grains it is made with.
This single malt from Scotland?s Islay has complex flavour notes of salt, peat and a sweet dry smokiness. Using old bourbon casks during the maturation imparts a great rich flavour, offering hints of spiced cocoa, blood orange and ripe fruit.
